Exploring Issues for Black Gay and Bisexual Males in University Settings

The campus environment can be challenging for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, or queer (LGBTQ) students still developing their sexual identity. Being a Black gay bisexual male add another layer of isolation in university setting. climate and males lack social support does address experience needs. Additionally, attending historically colleges universities (HBCUs) feel unsupported by the LGBTQ resources on campus. conceptual article aims to explore issues impacting settings. This provides an overview student identity development, impact African American community, discrimination hate crimes, climate, HBCU setting, mentoring impact, counselor educators’ with this population.
